A 23-year-old woman was reportedly found hanging from her poster bed at Uripok Takhellambam Leikai under Imphal Police Station in Imphal West around 8.30 am on Saturday.  

The deceased has been identified as one Khangenbam Mayalaxmi alias Bebisana ,23, daughter of Kh Subash. She was found hanging by using a stole in her bedroom. She was rushed to RIMS but could not be saved.  

Imphal Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident. The body has been handed over to family members after carrying out a post mortem examination at RIMS Mortuary.
