Manipur Unrest: Mob burn belongings from abandoned quarters

Mob burned down belongings from abandoned quarters located at PDA complex, Lamphel Supermarket, Imphal West on Wednesday evening.

In the aftermath of the attack by Kuki militants at Khamenlok village which resulted in the dead of nine individuals and many injured, a large number of people around Lamphel in Imphal West burned down belongings from abandoned quarters located at PDA complex, Lamphel Supermarket, Imphal West on Wednesday evening

The incident occurred around 3.30 pm when the mob stormed the abandoned quarters located at PDA Complex, Lamphel Supermarket and arson the belongings of the quarters in open space.

A team of Lamphel police rushed to the spot followed by Rapid Action Forces jawans and fired some tear gas shells and mock bombs towards the mob to control it.

After the mob was dispersed, Manipur Fire Service rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.
