A team of Manipur Police arrested three vehicle lifters along Imphal Moreh national highway while two motorcycles were seized from their possession on Monday.

The arrested vehicle lifters have been identified as one Paominlen Guite, 39; Lhunmilal guite, 20, of M Chachanou, Moreh; and Haomilen Mate, 28, Tengnoupal.

During routine frisking and checking, the police team detected two motorcycles (Royal Enfield) proceeding towards Moreh. The persons were detained and they failed to produce proper relevant documents of the vehicles during examination and verification.

On further examination and questioning they revealed that the said vehicles were stolen from Imphal West and Thoubal district on two different occasions.

The arrested persons along with the seized vehicles were handed over to the police station concerned for further necessary steps.
