Curfew relaxation timings for Bishnupur, Imphal East, Imphal West and Jiribam districts, which were set from 5:00 am to 4:00 pm, have been cancelled with immediate effect on Wednesday.
The state government on Wednesday issued the orders in view of the volatile situation in the state.
As per the orders issued by the concerned district magistrates, total curfew has been imposed in the said districts until further orders.
The order also notified that all persons belonging to essential services such as health, PHED and transportation of food and water will be exempted from the curfew.
District magistrate Jiribam notified that applications must be made to the concerned DC or to SP Jiribam district for permission in case of emergencies and for persons who want to take out procession for marriage, funeral within the scheduled area.
It further notified that one should not take out any procession until the written permission is obtained from the authorities.
