The Manipur government on Monday shortened the curfew relaxation timing for Imphal East and Imphal West district with immediate effect by taking into account the volatile situation.

In Imphal East, curfew was imposed at 1 pm while it was imposed at 2pm in Imphal West as per the order issued by the concerned district magistrate.
However, from Tuesday, the indefinite curfew has been relaxed from 5 am to 4 pm for both Imphal East and Imphal West.

In other districts, curfew timings have been relaxed too; Chandel – 5:00 am to 4:00 pm; Bishnupur – 5:00 am to 4:00 pm; Thoubal – 5:00 am to 4:00 pm; Kakching – 5:00 am to 4:00 pm and Jiribam – 5:00 am to 4:00 pm.
