A student of Slopeland Public School was found hanging at the school’s Paona Block boys hostel under Khongjom Police Station, Thoubal district around 11.30 am on Saturday.

As per police reports, the deceased student is identified as Pangambam Bishanta, 17, son of Sanajaoba of Kongba Ucheckon Konsam leikai, Imphal East, and he was a class XII student.

He was found hanging from the ceiling, added the reports. A team of Forensic Science investigated the scene and Khongjom police registered a case of unnatural death. The body has been kept at JNIMS mortuary for postmortem.
