Muvanlai Athletics shattered the morale of Manipur Police Sports Club by 4-0 goals in the Khumukcham Ingocha Memorial 15th Manipur State League 2022 which resumed at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The policemen had a hard time in the first half despite getting more ball possession but failed to hit the target to render the first half goalless. However things took a different turn in the second half as Muvanlai Athletics rose from the slumbers and began making noises.

MA willy forward NG Bedeenpar Moyon sent a strong message in the 54th minute of the play when he struck the opening goal, to bring rapture in the crowd. Gaining more confidence from the goal, Muvanlai Athletics spread its wings and made vicious runs from the flanks and midfielder L Thangkhanlen Khongsai, reaped good dividends, scoring the second goal in the 63rd minute.

It seems the MPSC players ran out of ideas against its opponent and this infused new zeals to MA team as forward Mangtinsei Robert Touthang came up with quick goal in the 65th minute and later L Thangkhanlen Khongsai drove home the winning goal in the 81st minute for the resounding victory. Manipur Police player O Premeshore got a yellow card in the match.

In another match, KIYC Kshetrigao upset Ganggam Soccer Club by 2-1 goals.

Starting on a slow note, the game picked up its momentum in the second half after KIYC struck the opening goal from Ronald Singh Saikhom in the 75th minute. Back on its feet, Ganggam SC replied strongly in the 78th minute of the game with Robert Chungminlal Misao fetching the equaliser.

With pace heating up in the match, it was anybody's game but KIYC rode with their better experience as Ronald Singh, yet again, found the target right in the 85th minute to push home the winning goal. KIYC player Ng Jenish and Ganggam SC player Mangjoel Neihsial received yellow cards in the match.
