Locals and Meira Paibis of Sapam Maning Leikai at Khongjom Sapam in Thoubal district demonstrated a sit-in-protest on Wednesday for the protection of the territorial integrity of Manipur.

At the event, one Heikrujam Ronibala said that the present crisis has adversely affected the people of the state and appealed for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the state. She continued that the people no longer feel safe with the Indian army as they have turned against the innocent people rather than protecting them.

The protesters shouted slogans such as ‘Manipur’s territorial integrity cannot be broken’, ‘Remove AR’ and ‘We want peace’ etc.
