Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association to launch cease work strike from May 10

Employees of Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association (MSSA) have decided to launch a cease work strike from May 10 for non-disbursal of monthly salary on 1st of every month.

In a letter, MSSA president Purujit Lairikyengbam mentioned that there has been irregular disbursement of monthly salaries and all the employees are suffering as they have to pay penalty for bank loans as they are unable to pay back by 1st of every month.

Purujit Lairikyengbam stated that the employees are facing financial difficulties as they have not received their salaries till Monday thus affecting their family budget.

It said the employees have no alternative but to launch a cease work strike with effect from May 10 until a suitable settlement on the issue is arrived at.
