Two shops situated along the Kakching Market and Khamlangba stretch of Kakching river were suddenly swept away after the embankment eroded owing to the overflowing water in Kakching district on Saturday.

As per sources, one of the shops is a jewelry store owned by Chongtham Romio of Khamlangba Pareng while the other is a chicken shop owned by Kshetrimayum Danny of Kakching Turel Wangma.
