Properties worth Rs 25 lakh went down in ashes as two sheds used as a warehouse and a workshop caught fire on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at around 12.30 am at Thoubal Kshetri leikai under the jurisdiction of Thoubal Police station.
Properties worth around Rs 25 lakh belonging to Sanasam Yaiskul and Sanasam Menjen were burnt to ashes.
It is speculated that the fire must have started from an electric short circuit.
One each of an Alto car, swift car, Activa, Jupiter, Fascino along with two bicycles, two granaries and some expensive tools were burnt down in the fire.
Local residents tried to put off the fire and Thoubal Fire service also rushed to save the sheds from the fire but could not as the fire had burnt up most of the properties.
