To ensure smooth flow of traffic across Imphal City on Patriots’ Day, Superintendent of Police, Traffic Control Police Wing, Wungpam Kasar on Friday issued a notification on traffic diversions and alternative routes.
As per the notice, all vehicles coming from Singjamei side along National Highway 2 will be diverted towards Singjamei Bridge and Pishumthong. It also notified that all vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal side will not be allowed to enter Keishamthong.

Meanwhile, all vehicles coming from GPO towards Singjamei line will be diverted towards Sanjenthong, it said.
All vehicles coming from Southern gate of Kangla towards BT Road will be diverted either to Nityapat or LIC and vehicles coming from Uripok side towards BT Road will be diverted to Nagamapal, the notice said.
The measures have been taken to avert any congestion and untoward incidents and the diversion will take place until the function is over, it added.
