Manipur: Pallel meeting resolves to prevent untoward incidents

Residents of Pallel urged the authority concerned to implement security measures to enable the resumption of their agricultural activities which have been disrupted due to the prevailing unrest.

A public meeting was held at Pallel Maning leikai community hall in presence of state security personnel and Kakching MLA M Rameshwar to prevent any untoward incidents at Pallel area in Kakching district, Manipur on Friday.

Kakching district SP Th Vikramjit, Tengnoupal district SP Rahul Gupta, Kakching Police station OC, Pallel Police Station OC and Kakching commando OC along with Meitei clubs of Pallel and Meira Paibi attended the public meeting.

Residents of Pallel urged the authority concerned to implement security measures to enable the resumption of their agricultural activities which have been disrupted due to the prevailing unrest.

Despite the violence being last recorded on September 8, last year, resulting in the tragic death of two individuals, the residents urged the securities to take preventive measures to avert any potential untoward incidents.

SP of Kakching district and Tengnoupal district have been reassured to implement enhanced security measures in the area to prevent any untoward incidents.

MLA Rameshwar also assured to extend every possible assistance to the people of Pallel affected by the ongoing crisis and urged the residents to work collaboratively to restore normalcy and peace in the area.
