Manipur: Observers visit Churachandpur district

The observers inspected the strong rooms in respect of four Assembly Segments and special polling stations of Churachandpur district, and two Assembly Segments of Pherzawl district.

General observer of 2-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency Ujjawal Kumar and police observer of 2-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency Vaibhav Krishna visited Churachandpur on Saturday to take stock of the preparations for the ensuing General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024 in the district.

Upon their arrival, the two observers inspected the strong rooms in respect of four Assembly Segments and special polling stations of Churachandpur district, and two Assembly Segments of Pherzawl district.

The observers were briefed about the district’s poll preparedness by district election officer Dharun Kumar and superintendent of police Shivanand Surve.

The polling stations at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School under 58-Churachandpur assembly constituency and Lhangjol JB School under 59-Saikot assembly constituency were also inspected by the Observers. They also visited ECA Relief Centre at Molnom where specified (IDP) voters are being given shelter.
