Miscreants lobbed two hand grenades at National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) C/O LS Thaiso Christian Colony, Senapati district headquarters at around 8 pm on Wednesday.

Fortunately, the grenades failed to explode and no casualties have been reported in the attack. A team of Manipur Police Bomb Disposal Squad collected the bombs at 3.25 am and safely detonated them at the Firing Range of 4th IRB in Maphou around 6. 35 am.

A case has been registered by Senapati Police Station in connection with the incident. It is suspected that the attack was carried out by an UG group in connection with monetary demands.
