Miscreants abducted a private school teacher at gunpoint from Pal Ahanbi area under Singjamei Police Station Imphal West on Monday evening.
As per sources, the victim is on FM Wahidur Rahman, 38, son of late MV Basir Rahman, a resident of Lilong Haoreibi mayai leikai, Thoubal district. The ill fated incident took place on Monday at around 5 pm.
The source informed that the individual was abducted along with his Maruti alto car maroon colour bearing registration number MN07D 0652 from Pal Ahanbi area while he was waiting for his daughter who reads at Learn English Easily (LEE) coaching center, Pal Ahanbi, Imphal West.
A complaint report from the victim’s family has also been filed at the concerned Police Station, the source added.
Meanwhile, Haoreibi Ideal Development Association, a local club of Lilong Haoreibi Mayai leikai, in a press release, strongly condemned the kidnapping of a private school teacher.The release also appealed to the authorities concerned to set the victim free, safe and sound at the earliest.
