Manipur Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh who is contesting from Thongju assembly constituency declared assets worth over Rs 2,46,52,933.6, including movable and immovable assets in his election affidavits.
Of the total assets, Biswajit’s movable assets is worth Rs 1,43,44,253. This includes Rs 1,00,000 cash in hand, Rs 13,98,908.60 in his five different bank accounts and other investments. The minister owns a CIAZ (car) worth Rs 12 lakh; one Maruti King Gypsy of Rs 7,18,000 and a crushing plant and drum mix plant worth Rs 46,14,435, a 7.62 bore pistol and 0.38 pistol (SIG-SAUGER) amounting to Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.24 lakh respectively.
The minister’s wife Junreiwon has a total asset of Rs 1,78,57,711.01. She owns a Tata Truck worth Rs 1,75,000; a Tata Tipper of Rs 1,80,000 and a water tanker of Rs 1,75,000. Junreiwon also has 30 tolas of gold jewellery worth Rs 18,30,100.

Junreiwon has an equity share in Ester Construction Pvt Ltd of Rs 3 lakh; Ester Gases Pvt, Ltd. Rs 94,98,000 and M/s Biswajun Organic System Solution Pvt Ltd Rs 40,000.
In immovable assets, Biswajit he owned three agricultural lands at Laipham Shiphai; Langthabal and Thongju worth Rs 1,03,08680, all self-acquired and he do not have any inherited property. The minister has Rs 30,99,150 liabilities (bank loans).
As per the affidavits, his source of income comes from salary from the government of Manipur as a cabinet minister and machinery mentioned and also his spouse’s business.
