A pedestrian was killed in a road mishap that took place at 9.30 pm on Wednesday near Yumnam Khunou Waiting Shed under Nambol Police Station in Bishnupur district.  

Ahanthem Somendra Kabui, 42, son of A Gopal Kabui of Yumnam Khunou was hit by a four-wheeler (Gypsy) and later died at 11 pm of Wednesday after being admitted at RIMS, as per sources. He was also treated at PHC Oinam before being admitted at RIMS.    

Nambol Police has registered a case regarding the incident, and the body has been handed over to its family after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS on Thursday.
