Speaking on the sideline, convenor of Langsai Thouna Rajiv Kshetri highlighted that the organisation was established to safeguard the Meitei community.

He said that Kuki refugees cannot disintegrate Manipur, where Meitei, Naga and Muslims have coexisted for generations.

He urged the clubs of Kakching to remain vigilant in safeguarding Meitei who have fled from Churachandpur, Moreh, Serou and Sugnu and taking shelter at 32 relief camps in Kakching District until they can return to their homes.

He also appealed to the state government to cease the unauthorised bridge construction over Manipur River near K Molnom Village close to Serou.

He further warned that Langsai Thouna will forcibly dismantle the construction if the authorities concerned fail to cease at the earliest.
