The High Court of Manipur and District Courts, Chief Justice on Tuesday approved a series of transfers and postings for 27 Manipur judicial officers, in an order issued for the reallocation of roles and responsibilities to enhance judicial efficiency and ensure the effective delivery of justice across the state.
As per the order issued by the registrar general, High Court of Manipur, Naorem Rajnikanta Singh presently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Tamenglong will be newly posted as secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee; Yumkham Rother presently posted as Registrar General, High Court of Manipur will be newly posted as District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West; Binny Ngangom presently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Ukhrul will be newly posted as Judge, Family Court, Manipur; Samom Ibjen presently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Thoubal (also in-charge of Judge, Family Court, Thoubal) will be newly posted as District & Sessions Judge, Thoubal and Nongthombam Keertichand Singh presently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Senapati (also in-charge of District & Sessions Judge & Family Court, Bishnupur) will be newly posted as District & Sessions Judge, Bishnupur (also in-charge of Judge, Family Court, Bishnupur).
Lamkanpau Tonsing Judge, Family Court, Manipur, in-charge Judge, Family Court, Imphal East (looking after District & Sessions Judge, Churachandpur) will be presently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Churachandpur; Ojesh Mutum Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Manipur will be the new Registrar General, High Court of Manipur; Letkho Kipgen District & Sessions Judge, Bishnupur (looking after District & Sessions Judge, Senapati) will be posted as the new District & Sessions Judge, Tamenglong; Ajit Singh, District & Sessions Judge, Churachandpur (looking after Family Court, Manipur & Imphal East) will be the Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Manipur and Reena Serto Additional Sessions Judge (FTC) currently posted at Crime Against Women, Manipur will be the new District & Sessions Judge, Ukhrul.
Ningthoujam Lanleima Presiding Officer, MACT/Revenue/Cooperative Tribunal will be the new District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East and will be in-charge of in-charge Additional District & Sessions Judge (FTC), Manipur East; Nepram Sonykumar Additional District & Sessions Judge (FTC), Manipur East will be the new presiding Officer, MACT/Revenue/ Cooperative Tribunal; Lamkholal Kipgen Additional District & Sessions Judge (FTC), Manipur West will be the new Additional District & Sessions Judge (FTC), Manipur West and will also be in-charge of District & Sessions Judge, Senapati and RK Memcha Devi, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West will be the new Judge, Family Court, Imphal East and will be in-charge of Additional Sessions Judge (FTC), Crime Against Women, Manipur.
Waikhom Tonen Meitei District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East will be newly posted as Judge, Family Court, Thoubal; Janggoulen Haokip CJM, Imphal West [looking after CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Churachandpur] will be the new CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Churachandpur who will be in-charge of Secretary, DLSA, Churachandpur; Ashem Tarunakumari Devi CJM, Imphal East will be the new CJM, Imphal West, in-charge secretary, DLSA, Imphal West; Masana Evangeline Panmei CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Thoubal & in-charge Secretary, DLSA, Thoubal [also looking after CJM/ Civil Judge (Sr. Divn./ Chandei] will be the new CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Chandel and Sorokhaibam Sadananda Singh Addl. Member Secretary, MASLSA will be the new CJM, Imphal East in-charge Secretary, DLSA, Imphal East.
Heeralata Moirangthem currently posted as CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Ukhrul will be the new Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Imphal East; Bineshwori Maibam presently posted as CJM/Civil Judge, Churachandpur (looking after CJM, Imphal West) will be newly posted as Additional Member Secretary, MASLSA; Laishram Rina Devi, the present Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Imphal East will be the new CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Thoubal, in-charge secretary, DLSA, Thoubal; Margaret Niangsiamkim CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Senapati will be the new CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Senapati, in-charge Secretary, DLSA, Senapati; Kimneingah Kipgen CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Chandel [looking after as Secretary, DLSA, Senapati] will be posted as CJM/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), Ukhrul, i/c Secretary, DLSA, Ukhrul.
Sarungbam Mangaleibi Devi JMFC/Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Imphal West-I will be the new JMFC/Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Imphal East; Leonid Ahanthem JMFC/Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Imphal East will be the new JMFC/Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Imphal West -II and Bonny Laishram JMFC/Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Imphal West- II will be the new JMFC/Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.), Imphal West-I.
Additionally, it has been clarified that the Junior Magistrates First Class (JMFCs) or the officers temporarily assuming responsibilities in these courts will serve as in-charge Principal Magistrates of the respective Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs). This directive is in accordance with Order No. 4/28/2007-Judl/L, dated August 7, 2023, issued by the Commissioner (Law), Government of Manipur.
