Manipur governor discusses state security, Indo-Myanmar border issues with IGAR (South)

The discussion was held while the IGAR (South) called on the governor at Raj Bhavan in Imphal West on Wednesday.

Governor La Ganesan discussed the security situation in Manipur as well as the issues concerning Indo-Myanmar border with IGAR (South) major general Rajan Sharawat on Wednesday, stated a release issued by IGAR (South).

The discussion was held while the IGAR (South) called on the governor at Raj Bhavan in Imphal West, it stated.

It stated that during the meeting, the governor appreciated the security forces for their steadfast dedication and devotion to duty in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the state in spite of numerous challenges.

The IGAR (South) also gave his assurance to the governor of extending all cooperation and assistance by the Assam Rifles to the people of Manipur for achieving peace, development and prosperity, it added.
