Sources said that the four children were believed to have gone to the river to bathe while their parents were away to earn some money. As the children were not found last night, a frantic search was made which  eventually led to the recovery of their dead bodies below a bridge near  Ebenezer Veng around 8 am on Wednesday.

The search for the missing children was zeroed at the river side after some of their dresses and belongings were found near the river bank in the morning. As the children and their parents were staying in a relief camp a funeral programme was held today at KKL Complex, IB Road after which they were buried at KKL Cemetery in the afternoon.
