Manipur Flood: NDRF launches fresh operation in Imphal

Just a month after rescuing over 2,000 individuals in the recent floods, the NDRF team has swung into action again, evacuating and rescuing over 100 individuals so far in Singjamei.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Wednesday launched a new rescue operation in Imphal, Manipur, after a second wave of floods hit the region on Tuesday night, affecting several areas including Singjamei, one of the worst-hit areas.

Just a month after rescuing over 2,000 individuals in the recent floods, the NDRF team has swung into action again, evacuating and rescuing over 100 individuals so far in Singjamei.

The rescue operation is being led by Inspector/GD L Priyokumar under the Commandant of 12 Bn NDRF.
The NDRF team named, 12-0 team Imphal, has been working tirelessly to rescue stranded people in the area, with many more still waiting to be evacuated.

The second wave of floods has caused widespread destruction in Imphal, with many areas still underwater. The NDRF’s fresh rescue operation comes as a relief to the people of Imphal, who are facing a daunting situation.
