Manipur Ex MLA Welfare Association has condoled the demise of former minister Chandam Manihar Singh who died on Tuesday.

Late Manihar, born on July 18, 1941, represented the 3-Khurai Legislative Assembly constituency as a member of the 3rd (1980-1985) and the 5th (1990-1995) Manipur Legislative Assembly. He was also minister in charge of Agriculture in 1990. He is survived by one son and two daughters, a release of the association mentioned.

The condolence meeting held on Wednesday at its office in the Manipur Legislative Assembly observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
