The Manipur government has relaxed the curfew timing from 5:00 am to 4:00 pm for both Imphal East and Imphal West districts on Friday, July 21, citing improved law and order conditions in the state.
Imphal West additional district magistrate N Johnson Meitei stated in a release that there was considerable improvement of law and order in the district. Therefore, curfew has been lifted from 5 am to 4 pm in all areas of Imphal West district to facilitate the general public to purchase essential items, including medicines and food items, except the whole areas along the Tiddim road from Keishampat Junction to Ningthemkol crossing.
Imphal East district magistrate Khumanthem Diana Devi also stated that curfew has been relaxed from 5 am to 4 pm on July 21 for all areas of the district to facilitate the general public to purchase essential items, including medicines and food items.
