It decried ATSUM for causing hardship to the whole population of Manipur for the interest of a few communities. It recalled similar past incidents of such statewide economic blockade harming the entire population for days on.
“Such economic blockades hugely affect the revenue and the daily turnover of the state, as well as the economy of the general population, all of which goes without any compensation,” it stated.
It appealed to all concerned not to declare such “selfish” statewide economic blockades which harm the entire population for the interest of particular communities. It also assured to extend support to the joint organisations on any statewide movements.
