Addressing a press conference on Monday at his office chamber, Meghachandra said that the people have been greatly affected by the ongoing violence, and they are affected again by a natural calamity.

He visited some places and found many houses being damaged by hailstorm, he said. Some houses will require complete reconstruction, he added.

He saw the notices issued by deputy commissioners for submitting forms with details of damage with photography. “However, the officials did not really know how to provide the assistance when I contacted them,” he said.
