Dengue cases continue to rise in Churachandpur district, Manipur with 12 cases reported on Thursday alone, taking the quota to 19 for the month of November.
As Imphal Free Press had reported earlier, dengue cases are rising at an alarming rate in the district.
With 12 cases reported on Thursday, a total of 166 dengue cases have been reported so far in 2024.
Sadly, Thursday’s tally is the highest ever for a single day so far this year.
Hence, the Malaria Department of Churachandpur district is continuing fogging in different areas of the district where new cases were resisted including many localities at Hiangtam Lamka area where fogging was also organised.
A widow with two children and running a tea shop, on condition of anonymity, said that her two children are diagnosed with dengue. She also said that she had spent more than Rs 3000 to test them as the test included a variety such as dengue, Scrub Typhus, malaria from a private clinic.
