Manipur: Churachandpur police seize liquor worth Rs 2.33 Lakh

The seized liquors include 34 bottles of Royal stag, 24 bottles of  Sterling Reserve, 33 bottles of Mcdowell's rum and whisky, 24 bottles of  Contessa rum, can beer and 332.5 liter of DIC liquor and others.

As a part of preventive measure for the upcoming Assembly elections in Manipur, the Churachandpur Police team and women's teams under the supervisor of SDPO, Churachandpur raided some suspected godown and vendors and seized a large number of foreign and Distilled Indigenous Country (DIC) liquor on Saturday at different place of Churachandpur.

The seized liquors include 34 bottles of Royal stag, 24 bottles of  Sterling Reserve, 33 bottles of Mcdowell's rum and whisky, 24 bottles of  Contessa rum, can beer and 332.5 liter of DIC liquor and others which will cost approximately Rs 2.33 Lakh.

The District police said that no Liquor vendor will be opened and any restaurant should not sell any kind of Liquors/ intoxicants in connection with the coming State Assembly Election 2022.
