The Manipur Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly condemned the resolution taken by executive meeting of Mizoram BJP unit supporting the demand of 10 Manipur MLAs on ‘separate administration’ inside Manipur.
State BJP unit president A Sharda Devi told the media on Wednesday at its state party head office that the office bearer of the state party strongly condemned the resolution taken by the Mizoram BJP regarding the demand of a ‘separate administration’.
Regarding the present law and order scenario of Manipur, she said that the state BJP has been reporting to the state, the Central government and security advisor to the Manipur government from time to time. She assured the people that the state BJP will prioritise to stand for the safeguard of Manipur's integrity.
She said the people need to work together, unitedly for the safeguard of territorial integrity of Manipur by subsiding misunderstandings among the people.
Sharda said the state BJP has been pressing at national level to find out the cause of the ongoing communal clashes resulting in a huge impact towards the various ethnic communities of Manipur.
She said during a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on May 13, the Union minister had assured that the territorial interiority of Manipur will be kept intact and state BJP will support the decision of the Union home minister.
Responding to the media regarding the submission of a ‘separate administration’ inside the Manipur state, Sharda said the matter is to be handled by the Manipur government and hope necessary steps will be taken up.
