Manipur BJP condemns derogatory remarks against CM

Manipur Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president A Sharda Devi said the state BJP condemned the use of derogatory remarks against Chief Minister N Biren Singh. She appealed agaonst politicizing any issue that can cause misunderstanding.

Sharda told mediapersons at its state party head office located at Nityaipat Chuthek on Wednesday that the state government’s ‘War on Drug’ campaign was introduced in the state to root out drugs and to control the changing climate and environment.

The issue of Churachandpur was caused due to misunderstanding among "unlike minded" groups and could be solved easily with negotiation, she added.

Sharda said the open gym that was dismantled by some protestors in Churachandpur was installed was a part of installing an open gym in public places across the state.

The BJP government has been taking various initiatives and developmental works irrespective of caste creed or religion.

Pointing out an example, Sharda said construction of Sangai Ethnic Park that has traditional huts of different ethnic communities could be taken as an example that the BJP government work for the welfare of all the ethnic communities.

The government has been giving priority to each and every communities inhabiting in the state, she said and appealed to all political parties to stop issuing statements that could affect peace and harmony in the society.
