A man on Thursday allegedly threatened to kill a passerby with a licensed gun at Moijing Awang Leikai under Thoubal police station. However, no one was injured in the incident.
The victim, Md Mohamood, 52, son of late Md Abdul Hague alleged that one Md Aslam Khan, 30, son of Md Abdul Kadir threatened to kill him while he was passing by. Both are residents of Moijing Awang Leikai in Thoubal district.
Narrating the incident in a press meet, Md Mahmood stated that the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 5.15 pm at Moijing Awang Leikai main road. He stated that on that particular day, he was out for a work at Moijing Awang leikai area when Md Aslam Khan allegedly stopped him and cautioned him not to pass the area.
Mahmood, however continued to walk there as there was no enmity between them, he said. Heated arguments ensued between them afterwards, he stated. After a few minutes, Aslam khan came with a licensed gun in his hand and threatened to kill him, he alleged.
Mahmood also appealed to the authority concerned to book the culprit who was using a licensed gun wrongly at him and made threats against his life.
