Mahila Kavya Manch, Manipur hosts its fourth event

Mahila Kavya Manch, Manipur on Wednesday hosted its fourth event at its Mayai Shanglen situated at Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai in Imphal West district.

President of Mahila Kavya Manch, Manipur, Kshetrimayum Subadani honoured Rk Nayansana Devi, who was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Social Work by Euro Asian University in Mumbai.

Kshetrimayum Subadani presented a memento and congratulatory message to Rk Nayansana.

Speaking on the occasion, Rk Nayansana Devi emphasised the crucial role of women highlighting their significant contributions to maintaining Manipur’s territorial integrity.

She highlighted the collaborative efforts of women in fostering economic sustainability within the state and urged the implementation of schemes aimed at further enhancing this goal.

Meanwhile, Kshetrimayum Subadani stated that Mahila Kavya Manch is one of the biggest women organisations across the globe. She encouraged all women to become members of the Manch and announced its plans to publish poetry books.  Subadani asserted, despite being a women organisation, the Manch is inclusive and welcomes men as members without gender bias.

During the event, a poetry competition was also organised, with approximately 24 writers participating and presenting their poems.
