Lieutenant General HS Sahi, GOC HQ 3 Corps (Spear Corps) along with IGAR (South) Major General Ravroop Singh called on Manipur Governor, Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday and briefed her about the prevailing security situation in the state.
During the meeting, General Sahi highlighted the security preparedness made by the army to face any situation in the state and also briefed the Governor about the various activities taken up to ensure safety among the masses, the Raj Bhavan stated in a release.
As per the Raj Bhavan, the army officers further mentioned the relief activities taken up to support displaced families in different parts of the state. They also assured that the army will always work to maintain peace and stability in Manipur, it added. The meet was a farewell visit of General Sahi as GOC HQ 3 Corps, the release stated.
Responding to which, Governor Uikey appreciated the efforts made by the army and urged them to extend support to the administration in restoring complete peace and tranquillity in the state, it noted. She also extended best wishes to General Sahi on his next posting and in his future endeavours, it stated.
