A girl who was admitted to RIMS after consuming poison along with her boyfriend has died, sources said.

The deceased is a 17-year-old Thangjam Thoi, daughter of Th Manglem of Sanjenbam Makha Leikai.
It reportedly said that Thoi consumed poison along with her boyfriend on June 29 and was admitted to RIMS. However, she succumbed to the poison while her boyfriend is being treated in a hospital.

Women Police Station, Imphal West, has registered a case regarding the incident and the body has been handed over to the family members after conducting a postmortem at RIMS mortuary.
