Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 2: Polling personnel dispersal begins in Ukhrul

In the dispersal of the polling teams, 32 teams are for 45-Chingai (ST) assembly constituency and the remaining 26 are for 44-Ukhrul (ST) assembly constituency.

Ahead of the Poll day on Friday as the 2nd Phase to 18th Lok Sabha Election in respect of Ukhrul, district electoral officer Zuringla Kengoo flagged off to disperse 58 Polling teams for 44-Ukhrul (ST) AC and 45-Chingai (ST) AC, as 1st batch at Bakshi Ground on Wednesday.

In the dispersal of the polling teams, 32 teams are for 45-Chingai (ST) assembly constituency and the remaining 26 are for 44-Ukhrul (ST) assembly constituency.

There were two Women Polling stations and three Special Polling stations which have been arranged for the displaced voters. They are Molen Kamsei, Shongphel and Molnom, under 44-Ukhrul (ST) assembly constituency.

The flagging off which was scheduled at 9 am was delayed by a rainstorm for about an hour. However, the weather came back to normal and was able to resume.

St Joseph College Ukhrul, vice principal Fr Joseph M Thohrii was invited to give blessings for the day. It was later flagged off by district electoral officer Zuringla Kengoo for dispersal in the presence of ADM Ukhrul Kajaigai Gangmei, ADM Jassemi P Duna Duo, SDO Dinringam Kamei, SDO/LM and AC to DC, A Rohini Kumar and many among others.
