Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 2: Manipur's Pherzawl district records 75.5 per cent voting

Pherzawl district has 3,48,570 voters (17,419 women) who exercised their franchise in 78 polling stations spread across the two assembly segments.

Pherzawl district in Manipur recorded 75.5 per cent voting in the 2nd phase of polling for the 18th Lok Sabha Elections 2024 with 55-Tipaimukh AC accounting for 79 per cent and 56-Thanlon AC accounting for 72 per cent of vote. 

Till the filing of this report, there was no report of any untoward incident in the district where people turned up in large numbers but due to the absence of electricity, there was poor internet connectivity which led to difficulty in getting information, let alone cross checking information.

Pherzawl district has 3,48,570 voters (17,419 women) who exercised their franchise in 78 polling stations spread across the two assembly segments.   

Sources said that the district, being one of the most remote areas of Manipur, some officials of the polling station and EVMs were lifted which are stored at Strong Room located at Tuibong in Churachandpur but the final arrival will be completed only by Saturday.
