Environmental activist Licypriya Kangujam inaugurated the residence ‘People’s House’ for Totomshana Nongshaba on Friday located at Heirok Part (ii) Pujari Chithek, Thoubal district.
This marks the first in Licypriya’s ambitious goal to build 100 homes for underprivileged individuals in Manipur.
Titupati Panigrahi, chairman of the Hi-Tech Group from Orissa, and W Jiban, president of the Heirok Apunba Club, among others attended the event.
Licypriya Kangujam expressed that her initiative to construct these 100 homes is driven by humanitarian concerns. She also committed to build a house for the late Khoirom Meiraba, an Arambai Tengol who dedicated his life in preserving the state’s territorial integrity at Ithai.
Dr. Panigrahi pledged to provide any necessary assistance to the people of Manipur, while Totomsana Nongsaba also expressed gratitude for the support he received from the community.
