Legal literacy programme-cum-painting competition held in Noney

Around 50 students studying in classes 8-10 took part in the painting competition.

The District Legal Services Authority, Tamenglong, under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority and National Legal Services Authority, organised a one-day legal literacy programme-cum-painting competition on Monday at Khoupum, Noney district.

District and Sessions Judge Imphal West-cum-chairman of DLSA Tamenglong, A Guneshwar; CJM Tamenglong-cum-secretary of DLSA Tamenglong, Laishram Rina and advocate Salam Debananda were present as dignitaries during the occasion.

During the programme, Judge A Guneshwar spoke on ‘Online Child Sexual Abuse and POCSO Act, 2012’; Laishram Rina raised awareness on ‘Child in need of care and protection under JJ Act, 2015’ while advocate S. Debananda spoke on ‘Free and Compulsory Education under RTE Act’.

Around 50 students studying in classes 8-10 took part in the painting competition. Winners of the competitions were also feted with prizes during the occasion.
