‘Learn from scholars, no time to waste’

Manipur conflict has given the people a lot of knowledge. We should not waste time without working. We need to work hard, Keirao assembly constituency MLA L Rameshwor said.

Keirao assembly constituency MLA L Rameshwor who is also the vice president of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board on Sunday exhorted the people to learn from scholars without wasting time to gain knowledge, stating that Manipur is envied by others.

Speaking at the conference on Sanamahism which was held at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Complex located at Haying Khongbal, Imphal West, he further stressed on the importance of learning martial arts and the art of warfare.

Speaking about the Manipur crisis, he said that the conflict has given the people a lot of knowledge. “We should not waste time without working. We need to work hard,” he said. 

“If there are issues within a community, then it should be solved privately; not at public platforms.

The Meitei community is a highly disciplined and cultured community. It should shine in the world,” he mentioned.

The conference was attended by Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board member secretary, M Shivdutta Luwang; International Sanamahi Association, president Sayam Bheigya.

Professor H Sudhir, History department, Manipur University attended the event as the moderator.

Luwang Nonghum Sang, executive member Longjamcha Sanathoi,  Makhon Mani Mongsaba of University of Culture, associate professor Waikhom Romesh of GP Women College, director of Mutua Museum, Imphal, Mutua Bahadur spoke on various topics during the conference.
