LCIV hands over essential items

Lions Club of Imphal Valley (LCIV) has been taking social responsibility and service to the community as a part of service to humanity under Lions International District-332D.

Under core service activity of Lions Club of Imphal Valley ‘Relieving the Hunger’, the club members handed over essential food items to The Hope Home, Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West on Sunday.

Lions Club of Imphal Valley (LCIV) has been taking social responsibility and service to the community as a part of service to humanity under Lions International District-332D.

In the release issued and signed by club administrator of LCIV, N Romi Singh stated that the club comes forward with “Relieving the Hunger” project, an important core service activity for the people in need and for underprivileged, at The Hope Home, Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West district.

It is said that the home is run by a philanthropist, Nilabir Singh from his own resources to accommodate 16 girl inmates (aged from 6 years to 15 years) at the moment and offering home, food, clothing and above all, education.

President of the club, Joukumar Sharma; district LCIF coordinator, N Romi Singh; zone chairperson Ch Ratankiswor along with other members of the club attended the programme.

LCIV assured to support some infrastructure development requested by the proprietor of the Home in the form of physical space upgradation at the earliest.
