Accusing the state forces of violating human rights in Moreh, the Kuki Students’ Organisation-General Headquarters (KSO-GHQ) has said, it will have serious ramifications against the peace and tranquillity set-up in the border town.
The student body alleged that there has been a series of alarming actions in Moreh, including looting of houses and destruction of properties.
The seizure of documents such as ID cards, land documents further endangered the rights and security of the residents, it added.
Land documentation was reportedly taken away raising concerns about land rights and property ownership, it added.
KSO also called for immediate and transparent investigations into the matter to identify and hold accountable those responsible for these heinous acts.
