Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) on Saturday declared that the organisation has lifted the ban it had imposed on actors Naorem Naoba Mei and Thokchom Berol who were a part of a “contentious video” on Langol Ningthou Haraoba.
A release issued by KKL general secretary Ngamkheingakpa Luwang stated that the organisation had banned the individuals associated with the viral video on Langol Ningthou Haraoba which was posted on June 16 at social media and YouTube.
“The organisation had taken up the measure on July 25 as the viral video featured defamatory depictions of the Meitei community,” it mentioned.
It continued that on July 30 the organisation lifted the ban of actors Naorem Naoba Mei and Thokchom Berol as they have apologised for their actions.
“The ban still remains for the Langol Ningthou Committee and comedian Happy Rajen as they have yet to own up to their actions,” it added.
