Khoupum Area Village Authority Council (KAVAC), Manipur on Saturday urged the CSOs concerned not to take up issues within Khoupum jurisdiction without consulting village authorities, in regard to preliminary record writing and field classification with survey settlements.

A release by KAVAC secretary stated that KAVAC does not endorse the statements on June 17 regarding preliminary record writing and filed classification with survey and settlement in which the chief minister and chairman of HAC were “mentioned unnecessarily.”

KAVAC expressed “displeasure and regret in regards to the statement which explained the issue out of context and with ulterior motive,” it stated.

KAVAC would like to advise the CSOs not to take up issues within the Khoupum jurisdiction without proper consultation with the village authorities, it continued.
