The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) on Saturday observed the 18th foundation day of its military wing Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) and the Patriots’ Day at the central headquarters, general headquarters, 131 battalion, training centre and mobile units.
At the observance at 131 battalion, adjutant MYL L Ingba attended the function as the chief guest, chief of army staff MFL H Ibomcha as president while CO 1st battalion MYL S Dhana and G-3 of MFL M Robin as the guests of honour, stated a release issued by member in charge, secretary information and publicity S Mangal.
L Inbga lit the inaugural lamp while president H Ibomcha hoisted the flag of MFL to launch the programme. The freedom fighters and leaders who laid down their lives during the 1891 Anglo-Manipur war and the ongoing war of independence were saluted at the occasion, it stated.
As a part of the occasion, the message issued to the public by the Military Affairs Committee (MAC) of the organisation was read out, it added.
