Addressing the observation of the 204th birth anniversary of Karl Marx at Irawat Bhawan, Sotinkumar said that in many places around the world, the scientific socialism theory coined by Karl Marx is being implemented effectively. Those countries can bring real development where every citizen enjoys the same privilege and status without having any distinction between rich and poor, he said.

He further said that Indian citizens are suffering a lot as political leaders are pro-capitalist. In India, the rich become richer and the poor become poorer due to the utter failure of its system. Considering the present scenario, it is high time that people of the country awaken and bring change in the society by promoting the idea of communalism and socialism, he said.

Sotin stated that people of the country suffer a lot due to price rise of essential commodities, corruption, unemployment and the likes. The government, instead of addressing the issue by formulating a sustainable solution, is focusing on promoting the capitalist sector, he alleged.

The BJP government had made a lot of promises before the election just to get people’s mandate. But they fail to do so, he added while appealing to the authorities concerned to address the problem of price rise as people are suffering a lot to meet their ends.

Sotin recalled all the philosophical ideas of Karl Marx that helped to promote equality in society.

As a part of the programme, a floral tribute was paid to the portrait of Karl Marx.
