Karkinos Healthcare Manipur also joined in observing World Health Day on Friday. On the occasion, leading technology-led oncology platform Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre highlighted the importance of good health, regular health check-ups and fitness to fight different types of diseases.
Karkinos Healthcare Manipur also organised health awareness activities with the patients at the hospital to observe the day.
Speaking at the event, Dr Prof GS Moirangthem, Director-CEO, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre said, “Every individual, whether young or old, rich or poor has got the right to remain healthy. To achieve ‘Health for All’, one should not depend only on the government machineries.
Every one of us shall follow the laws of nature such as early to bed, early to rise, regular exercise, regular intake of fruits, avoidance of too much alcohol, meat and oily diets, etc. Memorise the early signs and symptoms of cancers in the body and report to the concerned Specialist immediately.
The government on the other hand should take up concrete steps to close the “Care Gap''. All Health Care Providers whether government or corporations shall see that the treatment provided is accessible and affordable to common people. I wish for “Health for All'' on World Health Day.”
