The boy, battling for his life, is one among the several injured in the infamous B Gamnom firing while his elder brother, unfortunately, died on the spot with others.

The minor was treated at JNIMS, Imphal where one bullet was retrieved from his stomach while another one remained at the spinal cord. A few weeks back, he was brought to the same hospital and later shifted to Mother's Care Hospital where another operation was conducted but it is still dangerous to take out the bullet at his spinal cord.
