Kanglei Ningol Enat Phijol Changdamnaba Award ceremony was held in Imphal in an effort to promote Manipur's tradition and culture, with special focus on traditional attires of Manipuri women.
The second edition of the event, organised by the Kanglei Emagi Masaikol (KEM), was held at the Old Age Home, Langjing Achouba in Imphal West on Sunday.
At the event, Old Age Home Langjing Achouba advisor and social and cultural activist Rakesh Naorem stressed the importance of promoting traditional attires in promoting the culture of the state.

The event was attended by KEM founder Lanchenba Mangang as the president along with chief advisor of Old Age Home, Langjing Achouba Rk Maipaksana, members of the KEM advisory board including K Sorodhini, Brahmacharimayum Laxmi and Mutum Basanti.
Lanchenba Mangang said ‘Kanglei Ningol Enat Phijol Changdamnaba’ was organised with the aim to encourage women folk of the state to don traditional attires and promote the tradition and culture of Manipur.
