Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar on Wednesday said the construction of prefabricated homes for the displaced people would be completed within 10 days.
The MLA was speaking at an inspection visit to the homes being constructed at Yaithibi Loukol for the displaced people taking shelter in the relief camps opened at Thoubal and Kakching district.
Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subash, Kakching DC Somorjit Salam, Thoubal SP Sachidananda Soibam, Kakching SP Bikram and other officials accompanied the MLA during his visit.
He said that the homes will provide water supply and transportation for the students. The site where homes are constructed are very secure for the people, he added.
It may be mentioned that VTC Company, Thangal Bazar has been setting up 400 prefabricated homes for both Thoubal and Kakching districts.
